Appointment for residents and payment
・Please set your device to translate from Japanese to English and download the app used for appointment and online consultations from the link below.
★App download:
It can be used on both smartphones and PCs.
・For first-time consultations, please make your appointment using the “Book (press here) ” button above.
・Please have your My Number Card and credit card ready. You will be asked to fill out a medical questionnaire. This process takes about 10 minutes only for the first consultation.
・Please go to the booking page through the app and select Insurance-covered care, then choose First visit or Follow-up visit. If you live in Japan and wish to receive care as a self-pay patient, please select Self-pay instead.
・If there are no available appointment slots for new patients, it means the schedule is fully booked. Please check back again after some time.
・If there are no available follow-up appointment slots on the calendar, please contact us by email.
Payment;
・Payment can be made by credit card only-Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. The prescription will be issued after the payment is completed.
・The initial consultation costs approximately 6,500 yen for total with Japanese health insurance. Due to regulations by the Ministry of Health, we cannot prescribe psychiatric medications on the first online consultation. Prescriptions can be provided from the second consultation onward. The cost for follow-up consultation is approximately 6,000 yen. Once your medication is decided, we can provide prescriptions for about one to two months at a time.
・Patients who have previously received in-person care from Dr. Yumi Nakao may book their first appointment as a follow-up appointment. In this case, medication can be prescribed from the first consultation.
・For those who do not have Japanese health insurance, the initial visit costs 12,000 yen and follow-up cost 8,800 yen. Receipts are available only in Japanese, so please use the translation function on your device if needed. If you have corporate or private insurance, you should be able to request reimbursement.
To receive prescription medication, counseling by a pharmacist is required, either online or in person.
We are in the process of setting up electronic prescriptions.
Prescription by mail
The clinic will mail the prescription to your home or hotel. Please take the prescription to a nearby pharmacy to receive your medication.
Please note that there may be a time lag due to mailing.
Fax to a local pharmacy
Please find a nearby pharmacy in advance. Immediately after the consultation, we will fax the prescription to that pharmacy. You can then visit the pharmacy to pick up your medication. If you will be traveling and moving between locations, this method is the most reliable. We recommend choosing a large chain pharmacy that stocks psychiatric medications.
Online pharmacy in English
We can introduce pharmacies that provide medication counseling in English online. Please make an appointment with the pharmacy and receive counseling online before receiving your medication.
Please note that pharmacies offering services in English are often closed on weekends, which may result in a time lag.
